You know you and/or your spouse uses sarcasm too often when you realize your three-year-old is able to use sarcasm appropriately. Since this realization came to us we have been much better about at least observing our sarcastic moments if not also attempting to prevent them. The positive thing about sarcasm is the accompanying skepticism that allows this little boy to not believe everything people say. The following picture is Sid’s signature expression of skepticism.

This look states simply “HUH? I’m not sure I believe you” and is called upon any time someone tells him anything that does not align with his previously established philosophies. At least we know he won’t believe everything he ever hears.

I can see Shelly in that face--it's super cute!
Well, at least you have instilled in him the ability to question and find out for himself. ON the other hand...knowing the two of you...he may never trust you fully. Either way...it's a funny face! :)
