This is Katelyn with her cousin who is about a month and a half older than her. Katelyn is just as wide (if not wider), but I am sure she is still the shorter of the two.
Day three was our lake day. We went and played at Rockport State Park and had a beach to ourselves most of the day.
The logs that were in the water became quite the adventure for kids both big and small.
The beach!!
Cool hair, dude!
Paul took the boys out on the raft.
I pretty much sat under the canopy with Katelyn for 5 hours. This was after the blow-out, but before the nap. I am just glad she was able to sleep while we were there.
Sid and Matthew were digging in the sand.
Savannah went out on the raft with Scott, then Julie.
Austin ended up with the same "shooter" he had last year. He loves that thing (and has good balance on the log).
Sid found some water bugs and he and William were making a home for them.
These boys wandered off a bit so they could find rocks to throw in the water.
Here is the demonstration.
There was a fox den near the cabin.
These two elk were hanging out that evening and it was so nice to sit on the porch and watch them while eating the ice cream my brother-in-law had made. This was one of my favorite parts of the whole trip--sitting and enjoying in a little less heat!
