The Fly Catcher

I am trying really hard not to completely turn this blog into the everyday things that happen at our house, but this one is quite amazing. Sid got out a tupperware container today that usually holds our small stuffed animals. He decided it would be great to use it to catch a fly (our fly swatter has gone missing and we had quite a busy weekend, so we have 2 or 3 flies in our house). I thought this would be a great way to spend time doing something fun or at least chasing the flies around, but did not expect anything to come of it. I even gave it a few tries with no success. I left Sid at it and lo and behold a few minutes later he comes upstairs with a fly in his container. WOW!!! Austin now wants to set it free, but Sid is holding out and continues to amaze me with his abilities. He also likes to catch them with his bare hands and has been successful many times with his hands as well (he then throws them out the door and releases them into the wild). I think we will move on to chopsticks next!
