I finally finished!

We have been working on a project since August. Yes, it is November now. The problem was that some of the things I had in mind didn't work out and I have been waiting for assistance on the last bit. Today I decided to give up on assistance and finished putting everything up on my own. This project marks the first time EVER that we have painted ANYTHING in ANY house we have EVER had. This is primarily due to the fact that we finally own our first home. There was a very vacant wall in the kitchen that I wanted to do something with, but couldn't really decide what that would be. As a result, this wall remained empty for a year before I decided what I wanted to do. The first step was to paint it green (with lots of helpers)!
Wow! Color!! I don't know how to have color in my house! It turned out to be the perfect color and was a lot of fun to paint (yes, this was at the end of August). I have enjoyed the color and have been putting things together to get on the wall since then. One of my ideas wasn't working no matter what I did to improve it, so I threw it out. The things I wanted up were the FHE chart (which I finished making months ago), a magnet board, and some representation of the temple. In the end I kept it that simple. Here is the final result. I look forward to some suprised family members when they get home today.

IT looks GREAT!!! I love the color that you picked. Good job and being brave to do finish it up by yourself.

Looks great! That is one of my favorite shades of green. I'm trying to incorporate that color into my kitchen somehow.

I love it.

Boy, if that lazy husband of yours would have helped you, you could have gotten that done weeks ago.

We will have to compare color samples. I think we picked the same color! Great minds think alike!

Just so everyone knows...the color we chose matches our dishes (and actually looks good with our couches which we have discovered look horrid with about every color out there) and it is Valspar Eddie Bauer Bayleaf from Lowe's. The red accents are Valspar Eddie Bauer Crimson.
