Savannah's Cake

It was almost a month after Savannah's birthday before I realized I hadn't posted her cake. I think this is because I was just so happy that it was eaten and gone. She wanted a fairy and I had diligently avioded any human-like cakes in the past, but decided to go for it this time.
This cake was the most difficult cake I have ever done because the cake was crumbling all over the place and I had to keep sticking it in the freezer just to get it to have any sort of stability at all. This cake is probably the least cute one I have done, too, but my little girl's face lit up and she was beaming at it when she saw it. Oh, the rewards we get for fighting with a crumbly cake for way more time than anticipated!! This is the cake pieced together before the frosting demolished it.

Happy way-late birthday to my little fairy princess!

Every cake I have ever attempted has been a disaster so my kids usually get a lame regular cake or cupcakes with decortions. I tried a firetruck and a princess castle...never again! I think yours turned out amazing!
