I took a few pictures of the sunrise and it got the Fiddler on the Roof song stuck in my head all day long. The amazing thing is that it really applied to my life because it was my birthday. The years really do go by swiftly. I often pause and think how strange it is that I am a mom of four kids and wonder at how I got here in what seems like no time at all. I usually don’t feel much older on my birthdays…it’s on Savannah’s birthdays that I feel it. Savannah’s birthday is in August, which also brings a new school year. I think the two combined make a big difference because I am stuck thinking “My little baby girl is in first grade and is about to turn six?!? When did that happen?”This reminds me of my Dad always saying things like “WHAT?!? I’m too young to have a six-year-old!!” The funny thing is that I am the fourth in my family, so when he says this on my birthdays I have to remind him that he has three girls who are older than me. I talked to my dad on the phone yesterday and he guessed that I was turning 25. Well, let’s just say I am 28. He was sure he was overestimating when he guessed 25. I guess my pictures of the sunrise and sunset are now a symbol of my entire day of thinking how swiftly the years go by.
The new camera I got for my birthday/Christmas takes awesome pictures, zoomed in and through windows (and will get songs stuck in your head...that wasn’t on the list of features. I should write to Canon and tell them to add it to the list for advertising purposes)!

Those are some beautiful pictures! You have a real talent for capturing the sun. Everytime I see a sunrise or sunset I think of you and the apartment wall full of pictures of them!
