Book Review: Witch Song by Amber Argyle

Since I received a free ARC of this book I am reviewing it here on my blog to return the favor of reading this book for free before it's publication. If you would like to read Witch Song by Amber Argyle it will be released on September 1st.

I enjoyed my glimpse into Brusenna's world. "Senna" is a young, untrained witch who is thrown into an adventure when her mother leaves to defeat the dark witch, Espen. Senna is discovered by dangerous witch hunters and is forced to leave what safety she had in her home. This is a beautiful story where magic is formed by witches who sing to create results in nature.

Senna has a difficult time learning to trust and rely on others as well as learning to trust and rely on herself and her own abilities. As she learns more about her power she feels unsure and incompetent although she is determined to do whatever she can to help the other witches.

I loved that the witches in this story gained strength from one another and that their magic was so natural. They sang to nature and nature used its existing abilities to answer their song. I enjoyed their gift especially since they learned magic both from others and within themselves and by so doing were able to create and form nature into something powerful and beautiful.

This story is unique and captivating and an excellent read. I will certainly look for more novels from Amber Argyle.
