Sid turned 7 on the 7th this year and asked for an interesting cake. Can you guess what THIS thing is?
In the meantime, Here is Sid with his books posing as ears.
This is his new scooter, which is apparently quite heavy and, therefore, he is incredibly strong for accomplishing this feat.
As far as the cake goes, It is supposed to look like a snail. 
His favorite color is yellow, so I did the shell yellow and used fondant for the first time ever. I don't think I will again. I tried two different recipes for a smooth shell and a shiny body, but wasn't a fan of either. One was too hard, one was too soft, and neither really tasted great, even though they were better than the nasty store-bought stuff.
He loved it, so that's all that really matters.

Happy Birthday Siddo! That's one cool mom you've got there! She makes you and your siblings some awesome cakes! The snail being no exception!
Shelly the cake looks great! you have such a talent. I have dreams of making my kids cake look that good. As silly as it might sound I have already started thinking about what kind of cake I want to do for Le. I can calm First parent and do want every I want.
