We had a trunk-or-treat at our church since Halloween fell on a Sunday this year. It was a fun event including three different wards (congregations) that all attend in the same building. There were lots of kids, but only one giant octopus and full-size hatch-back minivan dragon!
Savannah was a wicked witch. Paul did an amazing job on her makeup and I hardly recognized her!
Sid was a vampire. The classic, blood-sucking, drips coming down the chin kind. Once again, Paul is an artist! This is Sid's "mwa-ha-ha" pose.
Okay, now comes the current four-year-old boy. He wanted to be a giant octopus. Yes, you read that correctly--a giant octopus. I don't know what is with my boys when they are four, their crazy ideas, and their crazy mom who makes them happen (Sid was a cactus that year). I must admit that Austin is the cutest giant octopus I have ever seen!
William was sporting the classic tiger costume. I was going to gel and spike his hair, but he was refusing, so I was glad we had a hood and that he kept it on this year.
Matthew was a bee. A cute cuddly, happy bee. He stayed with me and the dragon to keep it in line (I decided that dragons are deathly allergic to bees and, therefore have a serious fear of them, no matter how cute they are).
Paul worked hard to prepare our trunk. He transformed it from a commonplace hatch-back minivan into a giant, terrifying dragon--flaming nostrils and all! Awesome!!
Oh yeah, and our pumpkin decorating fun!
Happy Halloween!

We really liked the witch. Sometimes we wish we had some artistic or musical talent between the two of us.
Well done on the costumes, they all look great! And I love the dragon. Next time we do a trunk or treat I'm going to take some inspiration from you guys and turn my hatch back into some giant scary creature mouth.
